Biography
Darren was born on 3rd January 1964 in Exeter, Devon. He was always singing as a young child and this led to winning several competitions at School and various holiday camps in the UK.
He soon was 'bitten by the showbiz bug' and started acting and singing in high school & local theatre productions.
When he was just 14 he became the main presenter on R.S.T which was the local school radio station.
One year later he set up the 3D Show (Darren's Dynamic Disco) and this quickly led to his first club residency at Samantha's in Exmouth, Devon.
In 1985 he fulfilled a childhood dream to become a Blue Coat at Pontins.
After working at a top nightclub in Eastboune he was given a fantastic opportunity to DJ abroad working for Juliannas in many prestigious international venues.
He returned to the UK in 1992 and immediately started employment with Rank Leisure.
In the summer of 93 he became the 'voice of travel' giving out vital traffic information on local radio stations through AA Roadwatch.
This gave him a keen interest in local radio and in January 1996 he secured his first show on Plymouth Sound.
From here he was offered the 'Drivetime Show' which he presented until January 2001.
